I hope everyone is keeping well during the current crisis.

It is very hard for any fundraising to happen due to current restrictions so I got talking to a few people and we have decided to do a fundraiser for Rory Hogan and C.A.R.E Clonmel.

Rory Hogan is a young boy, 2 years of age who was born with Cerebral Palsy which affects his legs and prevents him from standing and walking and running, all the things a 2 year old should be doing.
He has been accepted for Surgery in St Louis Childrens Hospital Missouri by a world renowned Surgeon. This surgery and post op therapy will allow Rory to walk unassisted and pain free. This surgery is not available in Ireland and is not funded by the HSE.
Rorys parents are Joe and Eileen(Mulcahy) Hogan and are living in Gortnahoe. The Mulcahys have been very involved in Moyle Rovers Clubs over the years and are currently still very involved, playing, coaching, sponsors.

C.A.R.E Cancer Support Centre in Clonmel provides support and information to anyone affected by Cancer in South Tipp and surrounds. The centre provides emotional support and practical help to people who have experienced cancer in either the past or present, aswell as those who support them. They provide counselling, support groups, healing therapies etc... all services are provided free of charge. The CARE support centre rely on on donations and groups and individuals raising money. Unfortunately we all know somebody, friends and family that have been touched by cancer at some stage.

Due to our current situation and the current restrictions, we are unable to organise sponsored walks, table quiz etc to support these charities so we are calling on members of all our clubs, Moyle Rovers GAA Adults and Juvenile, LGFA and Camogie.

The fundraiser is   Big Push For Rory and C.A.R.E Cancer Support Centre.

The idea is do 10 push ups (but 10 squats, 10 sit ups, 10 or whatever you can do can be substituted for push ups), this is for young and old , take a video of you doing it and make a donation on the go fund me page. The go fund me page will be Moyle Rovers GAA Adult, Juvenile, LGFA and Camogie Clubs Clubs big Push For Rory and C.A.R.E Cancer Support Centre, it will go live later this evening.
After making a donation, post your video on all your social media pages, facebook, twitter, snapchat, instagram etc and tag
Facebook: Moyle Rovers, Moyle Rovers Ladies Football
Twitter:    @moylerovers @LgfcMoyle
Instagram: Moyle Rovers

On your video, you nominate at least 3 people to do the challenge and make a donation. Make sure we nominate mostly people in our club and get this to everyone in our club.. we can nominate outside the club also..Share the go fund me link under your video on all your social media pages.
You can nominate who you want, this is not about Moyle Rovers, this is about Rory Hogan and C.A.R.E.
After every €1000 raised we have somebody organised to either shave or dye their head.

All members of the club, when you get nominated to do the challenge send your videos to me Ian Browne or email to club(moylerovers@gmail.com and we will make one big video of everyone's efforts at the end. The pressups can be done as a family or individual, up to you. Also stress that people can make donations to the fund in support without being nominated to do the push ups..Videos from Club people only to be sent to me and my number is only to be given to club members.

Hopefully this will turn out to be a bit of fun for individuals and families to during this lockdown. Please get behind this and show everyone what our clubs are about.

Thanks to everyone
